At about 8:00 every evening, Louie can be found in exactly the position you see in the photo above - hangin' around with a stuffed pumpkin toy between his paws.  It all started in October 2001 when my good friend Kim Morrell gave Louie a stuffed pumpkin dog toy in celebration of Halloween.  For whatever reason, Louie fell so in love with that pumpkin toy, and carried with him everywhere, and has NEVER again played with ANOTHER toy.  What this means, is that every October, we purchase 10 or more stuffed pumpkins for Louie to last the year.  They cannot be just any sort of stuffed pumpkin toy - they MUST be the ones with the little arms and legs coming out of the pumpkin, or it's just not the same to Louie.  Louie nuzzles and sucks on his pumpkin every single evening, and often times on rainy days too. 

Louie is retired from showing and is very much a spoiled kid, pumpkins and all. 

*Sadly, we lost Louie rather unexpectedly this year to Osteosarcoma.  His presence and huge heart is deeply missed.
